aneemo, is proudly supported by the Mayor of London’s Rough Sleeping Innovation Fund. Backed by Westminster City Council and the London Borough of Lambeth aneemo will continue to share best practice and work to address the multiple health inequalities and social exclusions that cause and maintain homelessness.
aneemo has developed the first high-tech web-based training solution for front-line staff supporting people who are rough sleeping and experiencing mental health issues.
Introducing a course on working with rough sleeping mental health
According to the literature, alongside chronic physical health issues, 80% of people sleeping rough have mental health issues, 85% report histories of trauma and they are nine times more likely to die by suicide than the general population; with an average life expectancy of just 47 years.
Led by Dr Emma Williamson, the

Rough Sleeping Mental Health course utilises the latest Learning Management System (LMS) technology to deliver training to professionals from different sectors and contains high-quality video-based training and advice from a wide range of leading national and international experts on understanding and working with the complex mental health needs and compound trauma experienced by people who are homeless.

the course
Based on needs analysis and in collaboration with key stakeholders, aneemo’s team designed and developed a tailored four-module training course incorporating the latest best-practice in social care learning.
